About me

In my career I have had both the pleasure and the honor to serve a number of global Fortune 500 companies as a line manager and as a consultant. Most of them have been or are operating in the financial services industry. You recognize some of the household names on the right.

The focus of my work has always been in the marketing and sales space. In recent years, digital processes have become paramount in marketing. While we used to have classic advertising, or the traditional “above” and “blow the line” logic to follow, digital marketing has become more important over the years.

Today, marketing itself is an area that is driven by digital innovation. Marketing is now at the forefront of the digital transformation of entire businesses. Interestingly enough, most people don’t even realize that digitization is most often related to marketing. Customer experience and customer interfaces are the name of the game now. I have, however, seen my share of success and failure in all things digital.

In my blog I share some of my views on how companies, in particular in the financial services space, are undergoing their digital transformation and how they cope with the resulting challenges. Being in charge of global transformation efforts in complex matrix organizations as well as in SMEs, I believe there are boatloads of learnings that deserve to be shared.
